Winners of the MIT Global Challenge, an innovation and entrepreneurship competition with community service at its core, were announced on May 2 in Kresge Auditorium at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This year, 45 teams, representing more than 120 MIT students, competed for awards to turn their innovation into a reality that benefits disadvantaged communities locally and across the globe.
Winning projects represent true ingenuity in education, water and sanitation, medical devices, energy, and other sectors. Winning teams will move their projects forward over the next year in collaboration with community partners.
