Community Choice Vote

It’s here! The 2014 Community Choice Vote is open for ten days from April 8 through April 18 at 6:00PM, EDT. For the next ten days, you have three votes to place on the ideas of your choice.

We see the MIT IDEAS Global Challenge as a launch point for future ventures and sustainable impact, all over the world.
This is your chance to get to know the teams that are developing and implementing innovative ideas alongside communities around the world. Get to know them!

In past years, approximately 5,000 people in over 40 countries voted their choice of teams that would win the Community Choice Vote.

This year, each person that registers will have three votes. The top three teams will receive $1500 to further their work.

To get started voting:

  1. Meet the teams entered this year.  To get to know teams faster, sort by topic area and search for specific teams and geographies in the top right search box. http://globalchallenge.mit.edu/teams

  2. Place your three votes. If you haven't already, register here: http://globalchallenge.mit.edu/users/register. Once you register and log in, find the teams you'd like to vote for and when you’re on a team’s profile page, select “vote” in the box at the upper right side of the page to place your vote.

** You must have a profile to vote and need to log in for your vote to be counted. It takes 2 minutes to

  3. Spread the word! The Community Choice Vote is intended to connect people around the world. It leads to numerous connections to mentors, potential clients and communities. Invite your friends, family and colleagues to vote for the teams of their choice.
